This track marks the first of three releases. They may run consecutively, or they may not because the music needs to be of a particular vibe for this series of three singles. The name of the track may intrigue some of you so let me break it down a little bit for you. Clotho (or Klotho) is one of the three goddesses of fate, daughters of Zeus (this is debatable though as these are all mythological figures). She is the youngest of three sisters and was responsible for spinning the thread of life. She also possessed the power to choose who was saved or put to death. Her two sisters are Lachesis and Atropos.

I came across these mythological figures during my practising of Stoicism and it intrigued me, so naturally I started to dig a little deeper and my newly acquired knowledge turned into a creative burst which led me to create some music inspired by it all. At first it started with me wanting to write a three track ep, one track for each goddess of fate, but it would have meant that the ep would not have surfaced for quite some time due to my workload both with both Education & Bass and EOOM, so to keep things moving I thought splitting the music up into three singles was far more manageable and it would also put each goddess on a pedestal which is my way of showing my respect to the women of the world in both life, and the music industry.

This track, First Fate, really does encapsulate the vibe I am aiming for with this mini series of releases within the EOOM catalogue. It is dark, heavy, and graceful, all at the same time. My intention is not to have every track sounding the same which is why I didn't want to commit to the releases coming out consecutively because I don't want to apply creative pressure to myself whilst writing music for EOOM, so what will be, will be. When the right track presents itself It will be considered for this trio of releases.

On a technical note, I went a bit heavy on the compression for some parts of this track to intensify certain areas of it. I was on the fence with it at first and I kept dialing it back but it lost something for me, so in the end, I went against my own technical standpoints and rolled with it.
